What you need
- A laptop or tablet with a camera and a quiet corner
- The learner's exercise book and any homework or coursework set
- A parent or support person nearby for the first five minutes

- Move a lesson free with 24 hours' notice
- Cancel a pack any time — unused sessions are refunded
- Illness happens: we'll find another slot that week

- What subjects do you tutor?
- Rhyme & Reason tutors all core school subjects for grades K–12, college and adult learners: reading, writing, spelling and grammar; math from early numeracy through Algebra I and II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Calculus; the sciences; humanities and literature; plus SAT, ACT and SSAT preparation.
- How long is each lesson?
- Primary lessons (grades K–5) are 30 minutes, middle school lessons (grades 6–8) are 45 minutes, and high school, college and test-prep lessons are 60 minutes.
- How much does tutoring cost?
- Rates are per session: $25–$45 for primary, $35–$60 for middle school, $50–$80 for high school, and $70–$120 for SAT, ACT and college-level test prep. The lower figure in each range is the packaged rate and the higher figure is the single-session rate.
- Are lessons online or in person?
- All lessons are online and one-to-one, held over video with a shared screen, digital whiteboard and worksheets. Students can join from anywhere with an internet connection.
- Can you follow my school or college curriculum?
- Yes. Every subject can either follow the work you're set at school or college, or run as a separate skills class designed to build ahead of the curriculum.
- How do I start?
- Start with a free fifteen-minute intro call, followed by a starting assessment lesson. After that, lessons run in the same weekly slot, with notes in the portal after every session.
- Do parents or adult learners get to see progress?
- Yes. Parents and adult learners have a portal account with upcoming bookings, notes after each lesson, shared resources and a termly progress summary on package plans.
